
You have to remember it's just one developer doing it all. It's the same as saying Banished is dying because it lacks it. Also the entire ''i can see it dying'' argument has always been a little silly to me. It could, but would you use this argument for Age of Empires to include a mode where you ''just build''? Me and a friend actually bought it BECAUSE it has no combat, just like Banished. I also don't think the developer should take time to focus on two entirely seperate modes with different things to do that differ so much from the core gameplay.Īlthough I know one could argue this is RTS since it's ''real time strategy'', but it's far from things like Age of Empires etc. I'd not really consider it a fully fledged RTS in the same sense no one would play Anno for it's combat. To be fair, it's not an RTS, but a city builder.
